A typical room (200–400 sq ft) takes 1–2 days for solid hardwood nail-down. Larger projects or multi-room installs may take 3–5 days. We'll give you a precise timeline during your free estimate.

Yes — we ask that you clear the room of furniture and personal items before our arrival. We handle protection of walls, baseboards, and adjacent surfaces. If you need help moving large furniture, ask us when you book.
Solid hardwood is a single piece of wood — it can be sanded and refinished many times over decades. Engineered hardwood has a real wood veneer over a plywood core, making it more dimensionally stable in high-humidity environments like Pittsburgh's summers. Both look identical once installed.
Both work well — LVP is 100% waterproof and very scratch-resistant, making it great for pet owners and active families. Hardwood can still be an excellent choice with a durable finish coat (we recommend aluminum oxide finish for high-traffic homes). We'll help you choose based on your lifestyle during the consultation.
